Michael Vernon Hunt the President of the cup competition formally requests the presence of members tomorrow night when Babbacombe CC 1st XI try to retain the cup against last year’s defeated finalists, Ipplepen CC 2nd XI.

The Babbacombe side will contain Dan Western formerly of this parish (could be interesting as dad, Tim, is Player of the Match Adjudicator).  Whilst for Ipplepen, young Warwick Green a star of the future will be playing – dad, Marcus, formerly of this parish.  Other players formerly of this parish are also likely to be in both XIs.

Those formerly representing the club at the pre-match buffet are Evo (would have steeped aside if anyone had volunteered) and Steve Waters, whilst Phil Sturman is the Independent Scorer for the cup organisers.
