DAVE TRAYLOR RIP

The committee regret to have to inform members of the passing of Dave Traylor aged 83.  Dave a member of the famous local cricketing family who started his career with Chelston CC before joining Torquay CC.  Dave a right-handed opening bat formed a formidable opening partnership with Barrie Matthews primarily  for the club but also for the county.  Dave and his wife Jenny who passed a couple of years ago until fairly recently were regulars at the Brockman Cup – Dave was President and both were Honorary Life Members (their daughter married the younger brother of George Breyley – George is a current Brockman Cup committee member).  The club’s thoughts are with the Traylor family at this sad time.
