over for yet another year!

Under gloomy skies the 2nd XI hosted Teignmouth and Shaldon CC 1st XI in the Brockman Cup with the President of the cup competition AWOL!

Not unsurprisingly T&S on winning the toss elected to bat first to take advantage of the slightly better light.  Daniel O’Coneell formerly of this parish top scored with 37.  It was also good to see Danny McKenna also formerly of this parish back playing and he scored 20.  The star with the ball for T&K was Josh Hunt with 3 for 37 as T&S amassed 159 for 9 in their 20 overs.

In failing light, the T&K reply never really got going with Tom Lillywhite top scoring with 20.  Although there was a quick-fire cameo by Bobby Western with 19 off 21 balls.  The star with the ball though was Robert Murlin with 4 for 15 including 2 wickets in 2 balls (oh plus 2 catches as well.  T&K were put out their misery in just 17.3 overs – all out for 81.

T&S will be in a real “Teignbridge Battle for Supremacy” next round as they travel to take on South Devon CC.
