THE DICK LEAR CUP
Richard “Dick” Lear passed away in 2010 having played / umpired for both Torquay CC and Kingskerswell CC for over 40 overs. Dick’s two sons David and Jon also played for both clubs.
Subsequently a cup was donated to remember him. It has either been played between an Aaron Printers Cup Select XI and a Brockman Cup Select XI or winners of the respective cups.
This year, Ipplepen CC 1st XI will take on Barton CC 2nd XI. The headline battle could be between two current stars of Devon Youth Cricket, Thomas Cox (U15) of Barton and Warwick Green (U16) of Ipplepen.
Possible members of the Barton team formerly of this parish are Tom Drake, Andy McVeigh, Matt Needham and Chris Stubbs.
Possible members of the Ipplepen team formerly of this parish are Matt Beasant, Jono Colegate, Marcus Green, Joe Parker, Mawgan Penrice and Noah Rider.
Also likely to present, possibly in the “box” for Ipplepen, Simon Tapley who played alongside Jon Lear as youngsters for Torquay CC.

BATTLE OF THE SEXES!
There will be a little bit of fun this Thursday evening at the Rec when the W&Gs led by Ellie Roberts take on the Gentlemen (well a bit of creativity) led by Harry Passenger in a Softball Challenge - the gents having to use their non-dominant arm so could be interesting. Back in 1993 the club had an Aussie though called Charlie Amos who could bat and bowl with either hand.

VX3 T20 CUP – 3RD / 4TH PLACE PLAY OFF
The 1st XI travelled over to Queens Park to take on Barton CC 1st XI in what turned out to be a “Beer Match” with some players having been out until 5.30am with one arriving with a sick bucket in hand according to a reliable source (not TKCC before you ask) and in cricketing terms, Harry Baxendale was wicket keeper for TKCC.
The umpires, one of which was Matt Petherbridge formerly of this parish had to delay play for an unusual reason – both teams had failed to secure the services of a scorer.
When the toss finally took place. TKCC won it and elected to bat. There were many quick- fire cameos with some balls having to be returned from both the Bowling Clubs and the Steam Railway Station. The highest scorer for TKCC as they amassed 189 for 5 in their 20 overs was Harry Baxendale who fell two runs short of his fifty. No Barton bowler took more than one wicket.
Whilst in the eyes of many neutrals, TKCC could have killed the match off after about 10 overs, they let Barton, with the exception of Harry Passenger who took 3 for 7, have a little bit of fun and it only didn’t backfire by 2 runs! Opener, Arunkrishna Radharkishnan scored 44 and their no 11 Olly Payne scored 27 not out off just 8 balls. Barton were nine wickets down come the end.
For those who are interested, Paignton CC 1st XI beat Bovey Tracey CC 1st XI in the final fairly easily thanks to their overseas Ayabulela Gqamana who scored 65 and their England CDA international Stephen George with 3 for 22.
update no 2 DEVON CRICKET LEAGUE 2026 - ROUND 16
1ST XI
The 1st XI played host to Heathcoat CC 1st XI in a virtually “Winner Takes It All – win and a return to the Premier League was virtually assured. The 1st XI was hoping the photo below wasn’t a bad omen:
Heathcoat won the toss and elected to bat and within the first hour were in trouble falling to 64 for 6 thanks mainly to the Two Harrys! Skipper, Passenger, was taking the wickets – 4 for 35, while Baxendale was Mr Misery well OK “Mr Miserly” with 1 for 13. The only partnership of significance for Heathcoat was their 7th wicket of 63 between skipper Jamie Drew (32) and Finn Stoneman (35). Heathcoat were all out for 154 in 46.4 overs but in the process secured a vital 3rd bonus point.
In reply we shall gloss over “Mr BBO”. TKCC were soon in trouble at 37 for 4 thanks primarily to Heathcoat’s very own Mr Miserly, their skipper, Jamie Drew who took 2 for 27. However, TKCC were recued by a 5th wicket partnership of 68 between Ben Pomare (43) and skipper Harry Passenger (38) . TKCC seemed to be cruising until a magical first over by Daniel Pugsley who was on a hat trick and went onto claim 2 for 19. It then because a war of nutrition but the stars from seven days before James Tyler (21 not out) and Harry Baxebdale (10 not out) got TKCC over the line with three wickets remaining and nearly fourteen overs.
Alas, mission wasn’t accomplished regarding promotion. However, in seven days’ time when the 1st XI play host to Cullompton CC 1st XI who are deep in relegation trouble just 3 points are needed for mission accomplished But, before then the 1st XI will be taking on Barton CC 1st XI in the 3rd / 4th Place Play Off in the VX3 Cup at Queens Park on Sunday at 11am – unfortunately unless the opposition have a scorer the match won’t be online.

2ND XI
The 2nd XI made a short trip into Teignbridge (well for now) to take on Ipplepen CC 2nd XI under the leadership of Tim Western – Evo is running out of fingers when it comes to 2nd XI skippers this season. The Ipplepen side included the legendary Marcus Green formerly of this parish, as well Mawgan Penrice free from his best ever bowling performance amd Noah Rider also both formerly of this parish.
TKCC won the toss and decided to have a bat. As a result of legal strengthening (both Evo and Dr Viv had checked the DCL rules), Dan Western opened the batting and smashed 137, beating his previous best score by just 1 run! Western finally fell to a catch off the bowling of Marcus Green, who proved he still has it taking 3 for 56. However, with cameos also from Tobias Delahunty (40) – another victim of Green and Faiz Ebrahim (34) – yes, you guessed another victim of Green, TKCC scored a mammoth 301 for 9 in their 45 overs with Bradley Aldridge being the best of Ipplepen bowlers with 3 for 48.
In reply Ipplepen got off to a reasonable start but the TKCC opening attack of Abu Bakar (4 for 35) and Luke Glasson (3 for 34) kept any hope of a successful run chase in check and Ipplepen were all out for 175 with an over to go. The best of their batters being Steve Bowden (40) and a certain Noah Rider (31).
Next up for the 2nd XI next weekend is another short trip into Teignbridge to take on Abbotskerswell CC 2nd XI in their fight for promotion.

3RD XI
The 3rd XI had the rare honour to play on a first-class ground when they took on Abbotskerswell CC 3rd XI at The Rec but sadly that still wasn’t enough encouragement to have a full team.
TKCC won the toss fortunately and could bat as the Kulkarni Trio were still playing in the VX3 Cup. Ethan Abraham led the way with 66, supported by skipper Mike Etherington (in two acts thanks to receiving a ball in his eye) with 44, Preshit Pawar with 33 and Matt McCann with 32. TKCC scored 258 for 8 in their 40 overs. The best of the Abbotskerswell bowlers was James Roberts with 4 for 68.
In reply Abbotskerswell were never at the races. Only there skipper, Thomas Askew made a meaningful contribution with 43 and they were all out for 153 with 2 overs left. Four TKCC bowlers took 2 wickets each the best of which was Ethan Abraham with 2 for 8, However, special mention must be made of young Seth McCann who took 2 for 20. Where does he get his talent as dad, Matt had figures of 0 for 32!
With the 3rd XI looking for a top four finish in their division, next weekend they play host to Upottery 3rd XI who are currently in the 2nd promotion position.

4TH XI
The 4th XI travelled to take on Ipplepen 4th XI back under the leadership of Ollie Smith, just don’t ask him the sex of the bowler who got him out! Well, her father who wrote himself into the History of Torquay CC back in 1997 – enough said. Sadly, like the 3rd XI though the lure of playing on a “main” ground wasn’t sufficient to ensure a full team.
Ipplepen won the toss, no surprise there according to the banter on WhatsApp, and decided to have a bat. They certainly took advantage of TKCC being a fielder short and scored 282 for 4 in their 40 overs, primarily thanks to their openers Nick Heale with his maiden DCL century (136) and Paul Aldridge with his maiden DCL fifty (51). Of the TKCC bowlers, Ollie Smith led from the front with 2 for 26.
In reply sadly only the top three TKCC batters contributed with the bat – sadly Leigh “the run machine” Scarff only managed 35. Leading the way wads Thomas Vooght a loanee from Teignmouth and Shaldon CC who was left stranded just one run short of his maiden DCL fifty. Andy Redpsth also contributed 43 as TKCC were all out for 176 in 38.5 overs. Young Jack Edworthy was the best of the Ipplepen bowlers with 2 for 8.
Next weekend the 4th XI can put their feet up as it is their blank weekend.

Alas there was a dearth of players from the 1st XI and 2nd XI watching the 3rd XI - one can only hope they had all travelled to support the 4th XI after so many of that team supported the 1st XI yesterday.
GEORGE STEPHENS DEVON U12 DEBUT
The club are pleased to announce that the club’s very own George Stephens made his debut for Devon U12s in a high scoring match against Somerset U12s which sadly ended in defeat for Devon today. However, he did take a wicket.

Let’s hope the 1st XI have wrapped up at the very least promotion at come to Cullompton CC 1st XI the weekend before so Hazza can celebrate properly with his boys!

updated DEVON CRICKET LEAGUE 2026 - ROUND 15
1ST XI
The 1st XI head east to take on Budleigh Salterton CC 1st XI with “Air Miles” Passenger back in command.
Prior to play some of the more intrepid team members took a dip in the sea. One of them who shall stay nameless wondered why they couldn’t see the old ground – clearly, they don’t watch Country File!
After the “Big Swim” unfortunately there was “Breakfastgate”- everyone’s breakfast arrived accept, for the organiser’s, Ed Smout- Cooper, who ended up having to raid the local Spar.
TKCC won the toss and elected to bat, Evo ‘s prediction for “Mr BBO” was sadly correct – out for 17 off just 12 balls – one of four catches for Sam Whitehead. When Ben Pomare was out for 47 it was 80 for 4 but fortune favours the brave – Chris Kelmere was dropped on 8 before going onto score a vital 37, However, James Tyler, in the presence of his dad for the first time this season, was the star of the show scoring 64 not out which included 5 *6s with one ball last seen heading down the river valley. TKCC finished on 222 for 8 in their 50 overs – the best of the Budleigh Salterton was their captain, Ed Doble with 3 for 28.
By the time Tea was taken, news was reaching the ground that the current A Division League leaders, North Devon CC 1st XI were heading for a crushing defeat away to Cullompton CC 1st XI.
In reply Budleigh Salterton got off to a good start, 58 for 1, thanks to Max Mejzner who scored 43, but they then fell to 108 for 8. The main tormentor was Harry Baxendale who took 5 for 28. Baxendale also provided a heart stopping comic gold moment that Frank Spencer would have been proud of – “Fence Diving” when in a vane attempt to stop a four, he went head first over the fence, right by the sightscreen which nearly took out Josh Nott in a previous encounter. It was certainly a heart stopping moment for Susie, who showed true love by dashing over from Camp Kelmere. The Budleigh Salterton scorer just like Evo had a prediction come true – a wicket to fall the first ball after drinks – Luke Davies was 6th out with the score on 150 having scored 29. Budleigh Salterton were finally all out for 198 in 45.4 overs.
In light of the North Devon result and TKCC defending 222, one could imagine David Shepherd being Hopping mad in Heaven!
Next weekend the 1st XI play host to Heathcoat CC 1st XI in “The Winner Takes Its All” match – ironically the same weekend that 52 years ago, ABBA performed on Torre Abbey Meadow. A winner would virtually secure a return to the Premier League as North Devon CC 1st XI host Heathcoat CC 1st XI the last weekend of the season. The following day the 1st XI with in the VX£ Cup 3rd / 4th Place Play Off against Barton CC 1st XI at Queens Park Paignton.

The 2nd XI played host to Yelverton Bohemians CC 1st XI.
TKCC won the toss and elected to field but after taking an early wicket were soon leather chasing. Geoff Brain led the way with 57 before retiring not out. He was supported by their skipper David Ackford with 50 and Rob Grove with 46. No TKCC bowler took more than one wicket and Yelverton Bohemians finished on 240 for 6 in their 45 overs.
In reply for TKCC, Tim Western literally went from England’s hero yesterday to zero with a Royal Duck (youngest son, Bobby, sadly fared little better). Once again, super veteran, Mike Pugh, showed his experience scoring 76 not out supported by youngster Rio Koyikkara who got some valuable time out in the middle scoring 41. However, their efforts weren’t enough and TKCC finished on 196 for 9 in their 45 overs. The best of the Yelverton Bohemians bowlers were, Hadliegh Scott- Kirk with 3 for 14 and Michael Marais with 3 for 24.
Next up for the 2nd XI is the short trip next weekend to take on Ipplepen CC 2nd XI in a vital match as there is now a four- way dog fight for the second promotion spot. However, over the next two weekends as some of the teams involved cross swords!

Like the 1st XI, the 2nd XI travelled to East Devom in their case to take on Honiton CC 2nd XI, the former team of acting 4th XI captain, Stephen Jones.
TKCC won the toss and also like the 1st XI elected to bat. Captain, Mike Etherington led from the front and fell just four runs short of a well deserved fifty. However, there were only brief cameos from the other TKCC batters with Mr Extras being second highest scorer with 32. Matt Rossin who in his own words to Evo, “haven’t been able to buy a run all season” did manage to score 15. TKCC were all out off the last ball of their allotted 40 overs for 180 – the best of the Honiton bowlers being Richard Empson with 3 for 18.
In reply after losing two early wickets, Honiton reached the total for the lose of only one further wicket thanks to Nathan Groves batting through the innings for 66 and captain Lewis Blackwell scoring 88. No TKCC bowlers took more than a wicket each.
Next you for the 3rd XI is a home fixture at The Rec next Sunday when they hopefully host Abbotskerswell CC 3rd XI. Alas the opposition are in last chance saloon when it comes to fulfilling their fixtures. That saying TKCC will be trying to find 44 players with VX3 Cup match against Barton CC 1st XI, the 4th XI away to Ipplepen CC 4th Xi, a vital U15 match (for the 1st XI) away to Teignmouth and Shaldon CC as well as the 3rd XI DCL match.

Drum roll please, the 4th XI played host to Tavistock CC 3rd XI with 11 home grown players!
Tavistock won the toss and elected to bat and scored 240 for 8 in their 40 overs. This was mainly thanks to Mr Extras with 49 and Matthew Way with 41 although there were cameos by several other batters. With TKCC very much sharing the bowling around (only Phil Bradford and Andy Redpath didn’t turn their arm over), the wickets were shared around but Rahul Chandrappa and Toby Chant both claimed two. Talking of two dismissals, Leigh Scarff took two catches (as well as taking a wicket).
In reply the star of the show for the second weekend running was a certain Leigh Scarff esq with 56 not out. However, he was out-scored by Mr Extras with 54. In the end TKCC were all out of the last ball of their allotted overs for 175. Like with TKCC, the wickets were shared about by the Tavistock bowlers with two each David Downham, George Downham and Liam Willson.
Next weekend the 4th XI travel to take on Ipplepen CC 4th XI on Sunday with the luxury of playing on their main square.

Earlier today while playing for England Lions O50s against their counterparts from New Zealand in an ODI, the club’s very own, Tim Western scored 101, his maiden international century. His century came off just 95 balls and included 12*4s. The Lions won by 5 wickets.

vx3 cup report - no 3
The 1st XI played host to the already qualified, Paignton CC 1st XI, in the re-arranged fixture – the World Cup seems a distant memory. The Paignton side contained Neil Hancock formerly of this parish but still going strong after 30 years and his son Ethan.
Unfortunately, only one of the appointed umpires turned up. As a club we can only hope that Matt Beasant formerly of this parish is OK.
TKCC won the toss on a dark evening and decided to field. Paignton’s total of 202 for 4 in 20 overs was mainly thanks to their overseas, Ayabulela Gqamana, who scored 106 not out off just 47 balls. The best of the TKCC bowlers was skipper< Harry Baxendale, with 2 for 14. However, despite the carnage both Baxendale and Luke Glasson both had overs which went for only 1 run – no doubt the latter will remind others of this this.
In reply, TKCC got off to a disastrous start, with Dan Western being out for a Royal Duck. With the light failing (ironically by this time Martin Powell who umpired the infamous Brockman Cup match last year was watching from the boundary), several TKCC batters got starts including Josh Thompson – the result of one of his sixes nearly saw the de-fib in action! The fall was flying towards the Hatch – giving Katie and Vanessa the fright of their lives. Fortunately, it bounced on the roof! Actually, at this point thanks must be given to some of the Paignton CC youngsters who are clearly trained Ball Retrievers – Josh’s six was retrieved from the bank the far side of the stream. With the light failing and shock of all horrors, rain in the air, Colin Shute the sole umpire abandoned the match after 16 overs with TKCC 147 for 7 - Paignton winning on DLS by 17 runs. Like father like son the best of Paignton bowlers was Ethan Hancock with 2 for 19.
A big thank you must go to Phil Sturman for once again standing in for Evo who having to face up to the reality of his run of DCL matches coming to an end before the end of the season due to his ongoing life changing personal issue – only Vanessa Western stopped him from admitting defeat tonight.
This match wasn’t the end of the story for the season – there is the small matter of a 3rd / 4th Place Play Off on the morning of Sunday 16th August at Paignton CC when TKCC will play Barton CC 1st XI. This might well pose a problem for the club – no scorers. Phil is definitely unavailable and Evo is 50/50 at best,
On the conclusion of the VX3 Cup. Evo will be holding an amnesty regarding pink match balls in kit bags.
URGENT MESSAGE - ground safety
Unfortunately Travellers are back in the area (at least 10 caravans are currently in Shedden Hill Car Park and the number is apparently growing - the kids are already trying to gain entry to the Tennis Club and are sitting on the cars of members in the public car park). Whether these are the same group from Goodrington / Morrisons in Paignton it is unclear.

Ensure the Height Barrier is in place and the code on the Key Box is scrambled
Only open the Barrier by the Old Rugby Stand if absolutely necessary but if necessary don’t leave it unlocked

1ST XI
The 1st XI played host to Ivybridge CC 1st XI. There were rumours that Frank Bruno was going to make an appearance to ask, “Where’s Harry” as Harry Baxendale was still in charge.
It isn’t often umpires get mentioned but making his first DCL “appointed” appearance at The Rec was Keith Willcock who played his DCL cricket for Plymouth and Plympton. Keith is the youngest son of legendary Cornwall CCC opening batter, Eric, although Keith was born in the land of “cream first.”
TKCC won the toss and elected to bat. Many TKCC batters made starts but didn’t push on and when Dan Western was 6th out the score was 140 after 31.1 overs it wasn’t looking good. However, rather reminiscent of Kilmington CC 1st XI at home, this time the 7th wicket rescued the innings in destructive manner with Jimmy Clifford (72 not out) and James Tyler (50 not out) putting on an un-defeated partnership of 111. Tyler’s knock included 4 * 6s. This enabled TKCC to finish on 251 for 6 in their 50 overs. The best of the Ivybridge bowlers was Adam Huxtable their skipper now back from paternity leave with 3 for 28.
Despite a couple of early wickets, Ivybridge seemed to be cruising to victory, Initially, thanks to Zach Dunn (40) and Dinesh Raheja (65), When Dunn was out, Raheja was joined by their overseas, Michael Copeland who went onto score 71 before being caught by a stunning catch by Jimmy Clifford off a surprise bowling package, Ben Pomare, who went onto take 4 for 49. In the end Ivybridge got over the line with just 2 balls to spare and only 3 wickets in hand,
Clearly some of the Ivybridge players have been brought up proper when it comes to cricket etiquette – two of them not only thanked both scorers, they shook hands with both scorers.
A huge thank you just go to Di Kelmere who helped Evo get the fielding discs. Likewise, a thank must go to some members of the fabled Wednesday Afternoon Work Party who saved the club money by going ball hunting. As for the bench seats – no comment. Next up for the 1st XI is a “dead” home match in VX3 Cup against Paignton CC this Tuesday before returning DCL next Saturday in a crunch away fixture against 4th placed, Budleigh Salterton CC 1st XI. The opposition might even have a former Exeter Chief and England international, Tom Johnson, in their side.

2ND XI
The 2nd XI travelled west to take on their counterparts from Ivybridge – not often with all through leagues the 1st XIs and 2nd XIs play the same club on the same day.
TKCC won the toss but unlike the 1st XI asked Ivybridge to have a bat. It was a case of cameos by several batters but with the exception of skipper, Sam Northmore with 35, no one else reached 30. Free of work commitments, Towkir Chowdhury was the best of the TKCC bowlers with 4 for 27 as Ivybridge reached 186 for 9 in their 45 overs,
In reply in the words of Craig Revell Horwood it looked like it was going to a “complete disaster…” when TKCC were 27 for 4 and then 43 for 5. However, the club’s super vet, Mike Pugh with 58 and skipper, Ryan Hanauer with 54, got TKCC within sight of victory. Hanauer fell with 46 runs still needed and Pugh with just 4 runs needed, Hanauer’s wicket though allowed Towkir Chowdhury to have a quick cameo of 26 not out including the winning single. Tom Worth was the best of Ivybridge bowlers with a miserly 3 for 14.
Next up for the 2nd XI next weekend is hosting one of the original DCL teams, Yelverton Bohemians CC 1st XI. A useless fact the DCL had the same number of original teams as the Football League!

3RD XI
The 3rd XI played host to Kenn CC 2nd XI.
Kenn won the toss and asked TKCC to have a bat. Losing skipper, Mike Etherington early on, it was left to the Chair of Cricket, Steve Waters with 66 and Abu Bakar with 71 not out to amass the large bulk of TKCCs 233 for 6 in their 40 overs (Mr Extras with 34 also helped). There are rumours that Steve Waters was in “the chair” after the match, The best of the Kenn bowlers was Frankie Summers with 3 for 31.
The middle order gave Kenn some hope with Falk Koeller scoring 73 and Ian Hutchings scoring 43. However, another vintage performance with the ball my Paul Harding, 3 for 30, meant Kenn fell short by 36 runs, in part also to a cheeky 2 for 5 off just one over by the forementioned, Steve Waters.
Next up for the 3rd XI next weekend is a trip away to take on Honiton CC 2nd XI.

Torquay and Kingskerswell CC 3rd XI (20 pts) beat Kenn CC 2nd XI (7 pts) by 36 runs
4TH XI
Even the temptation of playing on a main ground meant the 4th XI travelled just outside of Torbay (well for now) to take on Stoke Gabriel CC 3rd XI with only 10 players yet again.
Stoke Gabriel won the toss and asked TKCC to have a bat. Well, the 4th XI scored more runs then any of the other XIs (276 all out in 38.5 overs) with the star of the show, the one and only Leigh Scarff with 71, his maiden DCL 50. Scarff was so tantalising close to the highest score by a TKCC batter over the whole weekend - falling just 2 runs short of beating Jimmy Clifford’s knock. Other significant knocks came from Rahul Chandrappa (53 – another maiden DCL 50) and Matt Scholes (40). However, once Scarff was out the innings subsided in the last few overs. Adam Latham (3 for 19) and Jason Gonifas (3 for 26) were the best of the Stoke Gabriel bowlers.
In reply, Stoke Gabriel got off to a reason start before Adam Lathan was out with the score on 57. His opening partner, Russell Hulme who went onto score 41 was the third of a cluster of wickets to fall leaving Stoke Gabriel on 112 for 5. There was then a 6th wicket partnership of 67 between Sam Cogger (32) and Simon Street who went onto score an undefeated 50 supported by Matthew Kerr (29 not out). Stoke Gabriel finally finished on 230 for 6 in their 40 overs With, all available bowlers having their turn to bowl, the wickets were shared around, with the best of the TKCC bowlers being Stphen Jones with 2 for 11.

Mention must be made of Jimmy Clifford snr who had travelled about 190 miles to see his son personally have a rather G’Day! Not quite the record – that will always certainly be Mitch Pugh’s dad, 10,795 miles from Melbourne!
UPDATED vx3 cup report
A much stronger XI travelled out to the edge of Dartmoor to take on Bovey Tracey CC 1st XI under the leadership again of Harry Baxendale with Phil Sturman making a guest appearance as 1st XI scorer. (Evo will return on Saturday despite currently processing a serious personal matter – whilst member’s support will be appreciated at this time equally please respect his privacy especially as he is currently selective who he talks about it to.)
Bovey Tracey won the toss and didn’t they have a smashing time at the BT Rec at the expense of the TKCC bowlers with Ed Smout Cooper coming off worst with 1 over for 29 runs – had Evo been there though, there could have been some consoling words along the likes of, “One of the Overton’s once took Dan Wightman for 30 in an over in a DCL match.” Come the end BT had amassed a mammoth 253 for the loss of just 2 wickets in their 20 overs – Hem Chetri leading the way with 104 not out off just 53 balls. The best of the TKCC bowlers was Towkir Chowdhury with 1 for 30. Despite earlier reports, there is no truth in the rumours that Phil Sturman’s lap top had overheated as a result of the carnage with 10 bowlers used!
In reply TKCC got off to a good start with Dan Western (41) and Ben Pomare (47). However, once they were both out alas it was match over. One six of note though by Dan Western dented the bonnet of Phil Sturman’s car!
That saying TKCC reached 191 for 8 in their 20 overs which on another could easily have been a winning total. Ollie Clifford-Bourne was the best of the BT bowlers, and not for the first time against TKCC, with 2 for 18.
As a result of this defeat next week’s re-arranged match against Paignton CC 1st XI at The Rec is a dead match.
